Chillwifi Access Points and Data Cabling

Solid Wi-Fi starts with good cabling

We plan and install Wi-Fi access points and data cabling together, so your wireless coverage and your wired connections are built as one reliable network.

Where it makes the difference

Offices & shops

Reliable desks, tills, printers and phones, with Wi-Fi that covers the whole floor and not just the corner by the router.

Hotels, B&Bs & holiday lets

Guest rooms and public areas that stay connected, with access points placed where guests actually use them.

New builds & renovations

Get the cabling in before the walls are closed up, so every room has the connections it needs from day one.

Large homes

Wired access points in each part of the house give far better results than a single router trying to cover everything.

Warehouses & workshops

Coverage across big open spaces and outbuildings, plus wired connections for machines, scanners and office areas.

Existing networks that struggle

Dead spots, slow rooms and dropouts are often down to old cabling or poorly placed access points, and we can fix both.

What we install

Two services that work best as one job. You can have either on its own, or both together for a clean, planned network.

Wired

Data Cabling & Data Points

The backbone of a reliable network

Best for desks, tills, TVs, phones, printers and every device that works better on a cable than on Wi-Fi.

  • Network cable runs to every room or desk
  • Neat wall data points, clearly labelled
  • Patch panels and tidy cabinet or comms-point wiring
  • Cable runs to ceiling access points and outdoor locations
  • Testing of each run before handover
  • Extra points added to existing networks

Access Points Installation

Wi-Fi that reaches where you need it

Best for offices, guest areas, large homes and any building where one router can’t cover everything.

  • Coverage planning and sensible access point placement
  • Ceiling and wall mounting, powered over the network cable (PoE)
  • Configuration of your Wi-Fi networks and settings
  • Separate staff, guest and device networks if you need them
  • Optional guest Wi-Fi with sign-in
  • Roaming set up so devices move smoothly between access points

Why plan them together

Access points need cable
The best Wi-Fi comes from access points that are connected by cable. Planning the cabling first puts them in the right places.
One visit, one tidy job
Cable runs, data points and access points are installed and tested together, so there are no loose ends or messy add-ons later.
Faster, steadier connections
Wired devices stay off the Wi-Fi, leaving more capacity for phones, laptops and guests.
Ready to grow
Spare points and a neat layout make it easy to add desks, cameras, screens or extra access points later.
Managed if you want it
Add our Managed Network Services for remote monitoring and support once it is installed.

How it works

  1. Tell us about the building

Send us the address or Eircode, what it is used for, and where you need connections or coverage.

  2. Survey and plan

We check the layout, plan cable routes and choose where access points should go.

  3. Install and test

We run the cabling, fit the data points and access points, and test every connection.

  4. Handover and support

We show you how it works, label everything, and you can add monitoring through our managed services.

Part of a complete network

Combine cabling and access points with the rest of your connectivity, all from one supplier.

Common questions

Do I need both cabling and access points?

Not always. You can have either on its own. But access points work best when they are connected by cable, so most jobs include some of both.

Why not just use a Wi-Fi extender?

Extenders repeat a weak signal and usually halve the speed. Access points connected by cable give each area its own full-strength signal and a much steadier connection.

What is PoE?

Power over Ethernet sends power to the access point through the same network cable that carries the data, so there is no need for a power socket at the ceiling.

Can you add data points to an existing building?

Yes. We add points to finished buildings as well as new builds, and we work to keep the finish neat and the disruption low.

How many access points will I need?

It depends on the size and layout of the building, the wall types and how many people use it. We plan this at survey rather than guess.

Can you work with my existing router or firewall?

Yes. We can add cabling and access points to your existing equipment, or supply and set up a router and switch if you need them.

Can guests have their own Wi-Fi?

Yes. We can set up a separate guest network, and add our guest Wi-Fi service if you want sign-in and a branded welcome page.
